Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information across our website, management services, and the Dispatch platform.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you visit https://pinfluencemedia.com (the "Site"), when you engage us to manage your Pinterest account, and when you use the Pinfluence Media Dispatch platform, our Pinterest scheduling and content software (the "Dispatch platform"). Together we refer to these as the "Services." By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
We are Innovative LLC, doing business as Pinfluence Media, a South Carolina, United States–based business providing Pinterest marketing and account-management services and the Dispatch platform. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@pinfluencemedia.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details: your name, email address, business name, website, and, for Dispatch accounts, a password (passwords are stored only in hashed form).
- Billing information: for paid services, processed by our payment processor (see Section 5). We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Content you submit: destination URLs, brand and voice inputs, board lists, pin images, descriptions, and any text or instructions you provide so we can generate Pin copy, schedule Pins, or manage your account.
- Communications: messages you send us for onboarding, support, or strategy.
Information from your Pinterest account (when you connect it)
When you connect your Pinterest account to the Dispatch platform, you authorize us through Pinterest's official OAuth flow. Depending on the permissions you grant, we may access:
- Basic profile and account information;
- Your boards and Pins;
- Pin and account analytics (such as impressions, saves, and clicks); and
- The ability to create, schedule, and publish Pins on your behalf, only when you direct us to.
For our hands-on management services, you may instead grant us access by adding us as a collaborator or otherwise authorizing us to act within your account. In either case, we access your Pinterest data solely to provide the features and Services you request. We do not sell Pinterest data, use it for advertising to third parties, or use it for any purpose other than operating the Services for you. You can disconnect or revoke our access at any time (see Section 8).
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and how you interact with the Site and the Dispatch platform.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Site, the Dispatch platform, and our management services;
- To generate Pinterest pin titles, descriptions, board recommendations, and related output;
- To connect to Pinterest and, at your direction, retrieve analytics or create, schedule, and publish Pins;
- To manage accounts, engagements, subscriptions, and billing;
- To provide support and respond to your requests;
- To enforce our terms, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
4. How the content you submit is processed
To generate Pin copy, the Dispatch platform fetches the public content of destination URLs you provide and sends relevant page context, together with your inputs, to our AI provider (see Section 5) to produce suggested titles and descriptions. We do not knowingly submit sensitive personal information through this process, and you should not enter such information into the Services.
5. Third-party service providers
We share information with trusted providers only as needed to operate the Services. These currently include:
- Anthropic — AI text generation (processes destination-page context and your inputs to generate Pin copy).
- Hostinger — cloud hosting and infrastructure on which the Dispatch platform and its database run.
- Wave — invoicing and payment processing for our paid services.
- Google Analytics — website analytics that help us understand how the Site is used.
- Tailwind — Pinterest scheduling used to plan and publish Pins as part of our management services.
- Pinterest — when you connect your account, we make full use of Pinterest's API to provide the features you request: reading your profile, boards, Pins, and analytics; creating, scheduling, and publishing Pins on your behalf; and retrieving search-keyword and Trends data to inform suggestions.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Pinterest data: compliance and retention
Our access to and use of information received from Pinterest's APIs adheres to the Pinterest Developer Guidelines and Platform Policies, including applicable limited-use requirements, and to Pinterest's business guidelines and spam policies. We:
- request only the permissions needed for the features you use;
- store Pinterest access tokens securely and use them only to act on your behalf;
- do not sell Pinterest data or share it except as needed to provide the Services you request;
- retain Pinterest-derived data only as long as needed to provide the Services; and
- delete Pinterest access tokens and associated data when you disconnect your account, when you close your account, or when our engagement ends, except where retention is required by law.
7. Data storage, security, and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and secure storage of credentials and Pinterest access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal information for as long as your account or engagement is active or as needed to provide the Services, and then delete or anonymize it, except where longer retention is required for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes.
8. Your choices and rights
- Disconnect Pinterest: you may revoke our access to your Pinterest account at any time from within the Dispatch platform, or from your Pinterest account settings under connected apps. Revoking access ends our ability to act on that account.
- Access, correction, deletion: you may request a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by contacting hello@pinfluencemedia.com.
- Account closure: closing your account or ending your engagement triggers deletion of associated personal data and Pinterest tokens, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
10. Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
We operate from the United States and may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you.
